Will SLR lenses work on DSLRs?
I presume I'm right in thinking that lenses from old SLR camera's will not work on digital SLR's?????

Depends on your camera / lenses.
My older Nikon and Canon lenses all work on Digital SLRs but remember the focal length will appear different asuming your sensor is smaller than a 35mm negative.
