Some nice free actions!
Thought I'd share these free actions I came across.
There are lots of actions for sale out there, but these seem really good and they are FREE!

They all seem very adjustable so you can decrease / increase the effect and some of them, like the portriat ones, use layer masks so you apply particular effects to the bits of the picture you want - so you can whiten just the teeth, smooth skin etc.
I'm running them on Elements 6 no problem. You just download then cut and paste the files into a particular folder on your computer. Full instructions are on the website somewhere.

Oooh - that's very interesting indeed - but I've no idea what 'actions' are 
I told you I was rubbish with computers! I've booked the site though - so if I ever find out, I'll be sure to use it. I do like the look of the 'vintage' one on there!

Basically oncee you have added it to your computer files, all you need to do is click on it within PS and it applies the effects to your photo - so it might brighten it, sharpen it and add a vignette for instance all with one click.
They are things you might do anyway, but bundled together.
You can also make your own actions but I have no idea how to do that.
There are some really lovely ones out there that cost a lot, but these free ones seem to do nicely. I'm not sure if they'll work on your old version of PS though.
