Re: You have to decide...

If you're that excited about it then use theirs. Do you think that you could get another offer like it again some time?

Re: You have to decide...

Just had another idea - why not take both? Yours and theirs? That way any shots you want to keep for yourself you can take with your own kit, and you still get to play with their kit
Kit 1
Nikon D300
Nikon 55-200mm VR
Kit 2
Nikon D40
Nikon 18-55mm
My Compact/P&S: Panasonic Lumix TZ7

Re: You have to decide...

Only you can know how you feel about loosing any claim to your work and if the use of the equipment makes up for the loss of your copyright. Would have thought that working for the services they will have a say on what of the images you take would be available to you to use as you may wish anyway, it is there production, performance so they must have control of what is available to public gaze I would have thought.

In the end if you want to do the work and the renumeration is adequate for the time involved then go for it, enjoy, be a little flattered to be asked and enjoy the equipment you may otherwise never be able use and explore.
