Yippeee - New printer so now I can print my own pics

Bought myself a new printer today - it's so nice being able to print my own piccies

Canon was the make of my first bubble jet printer donkeys years ago! It was B&W and cost me £300 !!!!!!!! These days wouldn't cost more than £30 it was so basic

what would you guys call a good printer, my limit is about 250 to poss' 300 I have a lexmark at the moment but every picture I print has lines on it I've tryed everything to fix this but nothing seem to get rid of the lines!!! so I think it's time to buy a better printer! help

finbar, I think you need to fix your signature!!

I bought a new Canon printer a couple of weeks ago so I can print photo quality A4 pics as well

(We don't allow images in sigs - hence then showing like that Finbar).

Laser colours seem to have come down a lot!:

£130 and 2400 dpi x 600 dpi

I am out of touch with printers tho, so don't know how far along inkjets have come. Also have to bear in mind how much new toners cost. But the B&W lasers I have have always been top notch - you just can't beat laser for professional documents

We have a big colour laser upstairs but for photos, the Canon is superb

Friend of mine has just bought a Kodak Printer which he says is very good don't know which model but he says the ink carts are very cheap but good

I have an HP Photosmart 8150 if thats any help
