Your first camera?

Ok... so what was your first camera, be it point and shoot or slr...

I had a basic point and shoot when i was in my early teens but then my first "proper camera" was a Canon EOS IX

I still have it and that lense, i had a good set of lenses with that camera but the ex kept them when we split!!

Re: Your first camera?

My first camera was a Kodak Brownie, you had to manualy wind on the film after each snap, and if you forgot or didn't wind on enough you got double exposure, or if you'd wound on too much you lost that pic as you couldn't wind it back

Here's a pic of one I found on the net
Kit 1
Nikon D40
Nikon 18-55mm
Nikon 55-200mm
My Compact/P&S: Canon Powershot A630

Re: Your first camera?

My first proper camera was an eastern bloc Zenit 11... Everything on it was manual... A great camera to get to grips with the basics - and I think it still is.... Heavy though.

Then I moved onto an Olympus OM-10 - I really liked that camera...

Onto the Olympus OM-40.... I liked the look of the all black body on this one

From there my father had a wide range of Canon accessories - so thought it a good opportunity to move over - and borrow his kit!! So then the Canon EOS-10 (35mm)...

After a while - went onto the EOS 50E - with its revolutionary eye controlled auto focus... (Shame it didn't work for me!!)

It was a long while then - whilst digital cameras were coming of age that I waited and waited - and waited some more.... Before going for the EOS400D last year...

And although this was a great camera - I wanted more... so I now have the 40D... and I think I'm happy with this... (for now...)

All I need to do now - is learn how to take a picture
Kit 1
Canon EOS 40D
Canon 10-22mm EFS
Canon 17-85mm EFS
Canon 70-300mm DO EF
