Re: 52 Snaps and ramblings

Heavy it is Suzi not really designed for arthritic hands but I wanted to take some bird shots and that seemed the only way to go, so now I need a trolley for the bag.

It takes a good deal of work in this weather as it really needs light so I can increase the shutter speed but as thing have been this week it has not been possible so I have had to increase the exposure in Lightroom which in turn makes the shot noisy, still don't care at the moment whilst I am learning to use it. When I have conquered the small birds, ducks should be a piece of cake

Re: 52 Snaps and ramblings

Thank you folks, should not really have the 50-500mm lens yet but when I was buying the Macro I asked about the availability of the 50-500mm and was told it was out of stock but that Sigma had said the next lot in would be in the region of £1000.00. I then found someone with them in stock at £700 ish and thought I would be advised to snap it up, OH agreed (bless him) so I now have two new lens to get accustomed to.

Re: 52 Snaps and ramblings

WEEK 5 - I THINK

Not been out this week and the camera has been tucked up in it's bed so I will have to fall back on a shot of Varg from the files - the hound has been out and is at the moment covered in mud from rolling in a centimetre of snow on a bed of wet soil. Weather permitting I think at least 2 will have to visit the dog launderette this coming week.

View from the bridge (my desk)- Week 6

Very grey the early part of this last week and from my keyboard all I could see was grey of various shades and around my feet yet more grey, my elkhound who were happy outside once it had stopped but don't like it when it is falling. They keep popping out to check and then returning to shake it off their backs and all over the floor and my legs.

Re: 52 Snaps and ramblings

Sunday 15th February and still we are in the grip of cold and wet weather so here is another of about the only thing I have to shoot.

The camera has not been for a trip out at all since the turn of the year, it is difficult to work up the enthusiasm when the weather is so very naf. I have plans for a trip to our local 5 blade windmill and I want to do some shooting in our nearest town which is Spalding. Then I have the 2 new lens which I have not yet really broken in, the telephoto requires more light than we have at the moment and the Macro requires a subject and a little more motivation from me.
