Re: Tamron AF 55-200mm

You have gone lens crazy missus.

Have to be honest I was looking at two lenses that I really want, well there are three, but one is alot more expensive. But I also want a really good tripod, and some lights and a flash and ........

Re: Tamron AF 55-200mm

I have the 70-300mm and to be honest - i really dont like it. The pic quality isnt great - athough this is something i do notice alot of when im looking at lenses Thebuild quality is on par with last weeks left overs. To top it off, it only stops down to i think F4, so i cant shoot at the longer range of the lens (unless its realy sunny) without getting vibration in my shots.

If its a 3rd part lens your looking at, id consider Sigma.

9/10 of ten, you get what you pay for when it comes to lenses. If its a cheap lens, its highly likely the results wont be what you hope for.

Re: Tamron AF 55-200mm

I would spend a little extra and get the nIkon 55-200 VR tbh Jols - its a cracking lens for the money

Tamron are a pretty decent brand, but I've never heard anyone rant and rave about that particular lens.
Kit 1
Nikon D300
Nikon 55-200mm VR
Kit 2
Nikon D40
Nikon 18-55mm
My Compact/P&S: Panasonic Lumix TZ7
