Nice stills Bazza, but the video made my eyes go funny, I think the focus was out for a while. We had a canal boat holiday, very, very quiet and relaxing. Chose a route with virtually no locks.

Richard I forgot to remove the UV filter on the camcorder but decided to post so at least it shows the event. if its fine tomorrow will take video again. Stills done on my new Nikon D800 and I think the photos are better than what the D300 can do

Richard
Thank you and yes well pleased, the photos are even better as direct from the camera. My worry was camera shake, which is often mentioned causing blur, but with a grip and heavy lens prevents a lot of that. Would say though that I have to think more about correct stance and more care keeping camera still than I did with the D300. Must try with the video side of the D800 to see what that will do.

Spent more time than i should talking to the boat owners, what a friendly lot they are. Seeing so many canal boats in one place is an amazing site, they had come from all parts of the UK to be there.
