A nice drive into work today

Part of my drive into work each day takes me over this bridge and lake every morning.

Some mornings the vista is just spectacular, anyway I thought it looked quite nice this morning and so I stopped the car to take a few pictures.

Here is a shot looking back at the bridge I just came over:

It certainly looks an idylic spot Ken - screams 'English parkland' to me - the dew and the mist really adds to the shot too.

It always looks stunning in the early sun, also it quite often has that lovely mist hanging over the water as well.

Hi Steve, yes it quite often has a lovely low lying mist over the lake.

It just a small part of the estate and there are so many good photographic opportunities, I just don't get the time to wonder around when the conditions are ideal for photography. But like a lot of my attempts at landscape, it always looks better in the flesh than when I get back and look at the shot I took. But I will now keep visiting this spot and try a different spin each time to see what works best.

Yes it does lift my spirit on the days when I feel a bit moody
