In any case, that's a real nice shot, DaisyChains!
The original image is here

Edit: was there - think Sam may have removed it.

No -- no need to do that (thank you for offering, though!). I completely understand why one would want to remove something that, in their eyes, doesn't meet their standards especially when you went through the work to correct it and re-post. I just need to be a bit quicker next time!

Oh it no worries at all. I dont mind reposting it! Quality may not be good as iv downloaded it off Facebook!

The halo is around Lukes hat. It was a result of the sky being processed. Halos can occur for various reasons mostly due to processing in HDR ( 3 images merged into one) where light tones meet darker ones.

And I thought that was just his Angelic aura!

Thank you for re-posting to provide a little education! I don't think that I would have seen that had it not been pointed out. This example helps one to learn what to look for; I appreciate that very much!

Re: Snow Day!!

I love this set Sam as I know how hard it is to get the exposure right with snow scenes that include people. The only show that seems "off" is #9. I can't figure out if there's a colr cast of white balance issue. I do love the expression in #9 however. The photo of you is one of the cutest I've seen. Sure looks like you all had a great time. Well Done!
