Which Photoshop

I'm thinking about getting Photoshop, but which one, money is a little tight at the moment, I'd like to be able to colour pop, and (not sure what you call it) be able to make the subject seem to be coming out of the picture, if that makes sense, is Photoshop expensive, thanks guys

Re: Which Photoshop

Try GIMP - it's free but not quite as powerful as PS if you don't want to shell out.

PS owns all others in all honesty - but it all comes down to cash at the end of the day.

Re: Which Photoshop

PS Elements is cheap at around £60... Proper photo shop is £500+....

I will get proper photo shop soon - it'll cost me around £150 as I'm a fully registered studying student on a recognised course....

If you have any REAL students in the family - that could be a great help!

Re: Which Photoshop

£500 I just fell of my chair, I had no idea it would be that much, no real students I'm afraid, Christopher is doing an apprentaship (sp) and goes to college one day a week, but I guess that wouldn't count

Manguish, I have gimp, but can you colour pop with it and do the other thing I mentioned

Re: Which Photoshop

You could always pick up an older copy of photoshop version 7, or CS... on ebay, for around the same price as the new Elements.
