Sunset @ Ham Shore

been out trying to take a few pictures other than dogs. As I have said before, landscape photography gives me far too much time to think about the image and with that comes uncertainty. Should I move closer, should I include/exclude this or that, you get the idea.

Quite often walk away without taking a picture because I have talked myself into believing there is not a decent picture there.

Persevered with this one and manged to press the shutter button. Fairly pleased with it.

Yes it is Phil. This is the first lens I have had that can be called ultra wide angle and it really is something different for me.

This morning I was out with it and I was having to get within inches of subjects. It's great fun.

My first thoughts were to crop a bit of the left so you're going more with the rule of 3rds, but then noticed the dog in it - and it would be a shame to lose him! So I'd say clone out the black thing in the middle. If you want me to show you what I mean just let me know

Now the pic (to me at least) is a lot more about the dog and the landscape, whereas before that black thing was dominating the scene.

Yes, it seems to put more emphasis on the cloud formation instead of looking at the rock, then moving in and stopping at the bollard before looking at the sky.

Not totally convinced but but I can see what you are saying and I'm almost in agreement. Just have to look at it a few more times and I may be with you
