Joe I have looked at your web site and hoping you won't take it the wrong way but if definately could need improving. At the moment all it does is show a page of what you are claiming to be able to produce. On it you say about landscapes portraits etc being able to do yet you havn't put up any examples.
With any advertising ( which appears to be the aim of the web site) you do need to show what your capable of to drum up any business. Yes you have demonstrated logos but most computer literate people can do their own and there are plenty of free ones to use. You ask for members web sites for ideas, I would say look at commercial web sites and grab ideas that way. There is far more variety to choose from than the members have however good they are.
Just like taking photos, looking at magazines as a photographer and not a reader you start to see how things are done, ie angles-height-distance-backgrounds- lighting -presentation etc etc. Thats the way to learn and develop your own style. Yes being taught may be one way of doing things but you are always going to base everything on whats you learn and not completely your own work.
This is no criticism of your work so far and everyone has to start somewhere. The above is me trying to be helpful and give a couple of ideas to play around with.
