Horizons

Just a quicky ....when taking shots of still water especially (lakes, ponds, sea etc) remember to check the horizon I have seen several gorgeous shots on here which are (for me ) spoilt by a rising or dipping horizon ... water doesn't sit at an angle

It only takes a couple of seconds to straighten a shot when you notice it and it really can make a HUGE difference to how your shot is seen ....some people won't even realise why the shot doesn't look quite *right* but they know it doesn't

Re: Horizons

If your camera has a grid program for the viewfinder in the menu, this will help in aligning up the camera with the horizon.

Re: Horizons

for cameras with a hot shoe bed - a hot shoe spirit level will cost you a fiver at www.7dayshop.com The only thing you will have to worry about then is making sure you use it.
