I'm going maaad lol

I have been told there is a very small internal memory on the Canon 440D ... even states everywhere on Google ... Do you think I can find it ??? Nope !!!!

Any ideas please ?

As far as I am aware there is no internal memory on the 400D (not in the sense you can save images to it to download later). Are you sure it is not referring to the buffer? The buffer stores the images whilst they are waiting to be written to the card however you can not permanently store and then retrieve images from this area.

I see, that is probably what I am reading then .. I did see it mentioned buffer. Thank you for helping. So, when I put my memory card in, all the images I have been toying with will go to the CF card ?

No - the buffer doesn't actually keep any images, it just stores them briefly whilst they are waiting to be written to the card. The camera can shoot in bursts, however often the CF cards can not keep up therefore the image is stored in the buffer until the card catches up and the image is then transferred to the card. If you have been shooting without any card in then the images will not be stored anywhere

When does your card arrive? Bet you are itching to get out and take some shots

Just to add, that is why you should look at the card speed when buying.A slow card will have an affect on the number of continuous photos in a burst the camera will take as the buffer fills up. I am happy with Sandisk Extreme 111 which is the minium speed I would use.

On memory cards it worth thinking about how many photos you are going to take. If using raw only, the number of pictures is greatly deminished, I would suggest nothing smaller than a 4 gig card.

Now the question do you go out and buy a card with a large memory capacity (16 gig+) or not, personally I would rather buy several 2 or 4 gig cards than one massive memory card for the simple reason apart from should one get damaged, on a long shoot there may well be different subjects taken. So different cards can be used for this purpose.
