Hell's Bells Bazza that's some clarity and sharpness on heavy cropping. How much PP did you have to do. Yes I did spot it, now tell us which Warbler it is.

I am suprised as well Richard, this D800 is turning out a better camera than I imagined.
All that was needed was to adjust the saturation -crop and very little sharpening. Not bad for hand held

The bird I believe to be a Reed Warbler.

RAW original was about 50mp which gives plenty to play with in editing. I had hoped I could crop quite drastically, one of the things I thought about when considering between the D600 and the D800, next try is with a sigma 70-200 f2.8 lens.

The "original" picture had to be resized and changed to jpeg for here,
