I know last time we were down that way we drove through Stokenchurch, only seen around half a dozen at the time if memory serves me. I know on the other side in Ibstone, especially on Ibstone common they can be seen on the ground all over the place...Too see a large group of them would be amazing
I bet McD`s being plagued by them has to do with some people putting food down for them.
In a way they should be left to totally fend for themselves and not become reliant on man feeding them as its later generations of Kite that will suffer, maybe less inclined to find carrion for themselves.

If i lived further into the valley, closer to more greenery and woodland, putting meat probably would work better Just too built up where i am though Laura unfortunately

Yes - my problem with feeding them is their numbers increasing too much... They do seem to push other birds out of the way so to speak.

I noticed when the parrots are around all other bird disappeared also
so if the kites met the parrots there could be a war .........

Thats possible Cakey but live prey over carrion, carrion might win, because of a Kites size its more difficult for it to move around in the air compared to say falcons or similar smaller BOP, and although it does also eat live prey, the live prey might just consist of mice, rats etc. But Carrion is an easy meal, less energy and effort needed for the bird
