it appears to have five lobed leaves, which means its latin name would include the word 'palmatum' hope that helps a little

I have as well, I think its actually quite common, but its been bugging me all day, 5 lobed leaf, red stems, flower like an orchid, wonder if it could be an aqualegia (think spellings not right !)
