Re: new child portraits

You are definitely getting a lot better. Think 4's my fave as it's got great colour and not as soft as some of the others.

Re: new child portraits

4 and 6 for the same reason as perrodeagua. I'll be honest and say number 5 is my least favourite, because bringing the colour back in on just the shirt makes the child look a bit sinister :/ I think it would work well in B&W though

Well done - definitely seeing an improvement! Keep posting those shots!

Re: new child portraits

Nice work FB - captured some funny poses there

Only thing I'd say is some of them soft - and the tshirt seems to be in focus rather than the face in some of them.

Re: new child portraits

They're lovely, but you've got specular highlights in a few of them, which you can get rid of by moving the light further away. Lovely images though, perhaps use photoshop to get rid of the highlights in this case!

Re: new child portraits

Generally overexposed, losing detail and skin tones. #4 has great potential. I would sharpen just the eyes a bit in it though. I'd like to see more detail in the towel. Check a histograh on these and see if you can adjust the levels.

Re: new child portraits

thanks for the feed back guys and girls! bob they are over exposed in photoshop, these are the photos the mother of the child picked! I do the same photo in many styles and they always seem to go for this style of photo? (High Key type) who am I to disagree? lol
I think they are a little soft but sometimes it's hard to catch a child without slight movment lol and the auto focus has trouble catching up sometimes!! maybe I should try and use man' focus more? once again thanks for the feed back you always give me something to think about
