Re: The Stores Man

Love it BC in fact I am addicted to all your portrait shots you seem to get the best (worst) out of your models.

Only comment I would make about this shot nice to see the main interest off centre but it is a shame the right angle of the "office" is sprouting from the top of his head complete with what looks like a fan headdress.

EDIT: think the lighting on this is spot on love the way he stands out from his setting and the setting is made that bit more interesting because it is verging on the difficult to see.

Re: The Stores Man

I hadn't noticed that on the bigger image it seemed less noticeable but now i am drawn to it! damn I moved the guy to get the light and my dear old dad was with me holding a reflector to bounce some light to him.

I love portraits in an environmental setting...I have hundreds, many i won't put online but i just enjoy people, faces and chatting to people along the way. At some point I will often ask to take their picture. I do look for faces and characters though...some people you just know will look right.

Re: The Stores Man

BC, think you could get rid of the headdress but leave the corner and perhaps burn it a little to help loose it. Sorry to cause you pain if you had not noticed but you did ask for constructive comment

Re: The Stores Man

That's a great shot, really like this image, and his little Aztec head dress. Seriously do really like this shot, interesting place, and love how you got your poor Dad assisting you!

Re: The Stores Man

Really nice - great contrast.

Certainly something I'd like to have a go at.

That thing on his head stood out straight away though before reading anybody elses remarks.

Easy to remove though so not a problem.
