How to take pics in the woods?

i always have problems taking pics in the wood !

here's an example .........i waited for the evening light to shine through then i've lowered the shutter speed as it was dark but found it differcult not to overexposure the sky
any lower would have wrecks the picture
any tips ?

You could try to increase ISO.. with regards to the sky being overexposed you may find that doing a HDR is the only way to get both sky and forest correctly exposed.

CL can't help you.....

But I love these shots, I love the darkness, with little shafts of light, I think they are great! I love the dappled shade, and the green is fantastic.

To prevent the sky blowing out while keeping everything else exposed, your need a graduated ND filter. Its dark at the top going clear 1/3rd of the way down. It takes the skies exposure down around 2/3 stops

Azz..... thanks but im not into HDR im afraid

Ms.......thanks for you kind comment i like these shots too but like it to be abit more lighter in front so i could see the patterns on the trees if you know what i mean

KK....... i think i have one of those filter ! i give up on filters a while ago but now you explain this in such ia short sentence i think im being to understand what you mean now! lol thanks very much KK !
