I'd like to make some observations & suggests regarding this photo. I believer a tighter crop would create a better composition as well as eliminate a lot of blurred background without detail. The overall photo need more contrast, more snap so I would increase the vibrance and color saturation slightly to give the image more pop. The original photo is out of focus. to help save this image you can carefully sharpen certain areas, such as they eye and crown of the head to make the appearance look sharper. Finally, a light vignette might be added to draw the viewer's eyes to the grouse. I added a small black border to pull it all together. Work on your focus and composition. There are lessons on doing that in the forum.
