Re: What is your photographic ambition for the next few weeks?

hillmouse - You hit on an important point regarding photography. You must have fun! If you don't enjoy your photos why shoot them much less post them. Here's hoping you reach your goals this next year.

Re: What is your photographic ambition for the next few weeks?

hmm... my goal for the next few weeks - get a few decent flight shots of some of the waders near my parent's house.

Try to get into macro stuff a bit more again now the weather's right for it - really missed that.

Go to a few places when i visit leeds and et some nice photos

buy macro lens

buy d700 (alright - not a few weeks - a few months! lol)

Re: What is your photographic ambition for the next few weeks?

This might sound a bit wierd, but I want to take some more photos of myself, yeah, I know, it's a bit odd.

I started last year trying to take the sort of images I like, but with me in them, and I had an incredible amount of fun, apart from having some shots of me I like it is a massive challenge to compose a shot, and be in it and shot it.

I recommend you have a go before you call me nuts

If your interested in the few I did, let me know. I'll post them (don't know if I am allowed to post them in this thread?)

Re: What is your photographic ambition for the next few weeks?

Alan would love to see them, think you could post them here but it would be a shame if they got lost, so to speak, in a chat thread why not post them in a new thread called something like "Alan, a View of Himself"

Re: What is your photographic ambition for the next few weeks?

I would like to see them as I have an interest in self portraits.

As for my earlier post I have actually deleted 'lightroom' offmy laptop as it was overriding my other progs which was flipping annoying and I didnt use it anyway.

much prefer photoshop and picassa

Re: What is your photographic ambition for the next few weeks?

I like Lightroom as it does not do the same thing as PS, but is complementary. Do you open your shots in Photo RAW then Jols or do you go straight from Bridge to PS or open straight in PS?

Re: What is your photographic ambition for the next few weeks?

I load everything into picassa then pck and choose whats good and whats not then I transfer pics to photoshop if i want to play about with them.

but to be totally honest I dont photoshop many pics just maybe a tad brightening. If it doesnt come out of the camera right im not happy lol

Re: What is your photographic ambition for the next few weeks?

Easy answer, mine is going to the Focus on Imaging at the NEC next month and picking up a great bargain, It can be done, I managed to get a Pelican case brand new for half price off one stand the other year.
