Re: What is your photographic ambition for the next few weeks?

I wish I had more time and warmer weather to take photos! That's why I've sold my D300 cos I know it would only site there until summer otherwise.

However I do get pleasure from seeing everyone else's pics, and esp on how everyone is improving

Re: What is your photographic ambition for the next few weeks?

Oooh, I've got several projects in mind.

1st, clean up my 'pooter files. Hundreds of rubbish images stored.
2nd. get the hang of my 70-300 for flying birds. Got some of mallard and a cracker of a pheasant flying in to fight with another, sadly just a bit blurry
3rd.Get Broadband so I can post piccies for you lot to comment on.
4th. Get some sort of storage file for prints of the few I consider worth printing.
5th. To learn how to use Photoshop. I prefer to get the shot right, but you can do some funky stuff later, if only I knew how it all worked.
6th. To do a lot more landscapes and sunsets from better locations. My new 10-20 WA (shopping tommorow) should help.
7th. Action photo shoot of gundogs working.

As far as C&C goes, I take images which please me first and foremost, but being new to DSLR's would welcome constructive advice on practicalities such as settings and composition. Once project 3 is achieved.
Kit 1
Canon EOS 450 D
EF-S 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 IS
EF 70-300mm f4-5.6 IS USM
Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 EX DC
Sigma 70mm F2.8 EX DG Macro
Canon Speedlite 430EXII
BG-E5 Battery grip
Slik D5 tripod (old but good)
