Re: Going to the Prom

I think these are a nice set of images and well done. I think all the principles are there.

For me some of the detail lets it down a little as it draws my eye. Mainly it is the lad just looks awkward. I know teenage lads aren't going to be used to dressing like this but I think he could have be tidied up a little to make the shots special. The crumpled collar, tie not quite right, new shirt with creased cuff, fingers of second hand a bit awakwardly placed. Not sure if the angled picture works, possibly. In the second shot the legs and feet particularly look awkward. The photography is fine but would have been good to have sorted him out a bit. Overall though, nice set of shots of him and his girl, sure one day he or her will be asking if you can photoshop one or the other out!

Re: Going to the Prom

Its a nice fun set. I'm sure they'll enjoy them.
I think your monos could do with a little more contrast, they are a little 'grey' at the moment.
I like number 1, but its a shame about his lower hand placement - and are those fingers looking a little grey?

Sigma 30mm 1.4
on loan: Tamron 90mm
Kit 2
Canon 300D (in use by my 10 year old)
