Waxwings - finally! :D

This probably seems silly to some, as I know those who want to see them mostly have and they're fairly easy to photograph, being quite tame in nature mostly... however, until Monday last I'd never even seen one, never managed to get them locally... and since I was quite young they've been one of my favourite birds from picture books. I have to say, now I've finally seen them properly and watched them well... it's been confirmed - they are awesome and I love them as much as I was sure I would! So... here are some photos for you to enjoy (I hope) - they're nothing massively special, but they have me grinning like a goon because they're the first I could get proper pics of and I am over the moon just to have watched them properly in nice light <3

Re: Waxwings - finally! :D

Not sure of the type of bush I'm afraid - though they're found on anything vaguely edible and fruitlike over here at the moment - there are so many around Ireland!

Current sightings for Waxwing can be found there, looooads of them!
