Re: Blue Skies Above Me

Are you using a photo hosting site like photo bucket?

Re: Blue Skies Above Me

No I tried copying and pasting from one of my albums on me profile...no matter!

But I can also see why the site has had a maximum of 29 members logging in (at the time of checking) over the last 24 hours lol

Re: Blue Skies Above Me

Posted straight from my album, you have missed part of the code, when you copied and pasted, yours into your thread.

Re: Blue Skies Above Me

Is there really any need for a nasty comment about the forum when your inability to post a photo is hardly the fault of the forum? If you are finding the albums to awkward to use, then try a hosting site like Flickr or Photobucket.

Re: Blue Skies Above Me

It's a good little site but not really my cup of tea, a photography site should have photographs on it in plain site and not hidden away under some sub-section at the end of a toolbar.

I'm just pointing out there could be a reason why there are so few photographers actually having very little to do with the groups, topics and chats on here apart from >seemingly< a handful who pop up all the time.

If I was running the site I would feel puzzled because it could be great but it's obvious members who sign up don't hang around very long and that's a shame, nobody wants to sit copying and pasting all day and I do feel this is the one and only reason why things seem so quiet around here at times.

Even some of the social groups set up may have 5-6 members but have never, ever had anyone bothering to raise any type of conversation which seems incredible to me.

Before you say anything like "why don't you leave the site if you don't like it" I tried to delete my account but it seems this is impossible to do.

Good luck everyone and enjoy your photography

Peter

Re: Blue Skies Above Me

Can't please some people eh? It's a FORUM not a gallery - so therefore the way it works is just fine in terms of not needing hundreds of photos on the main front page! If you want to look at people's photography you go to the various forum categories! It's really not difficult... is it?

Re: Blue Skies Above Me

The posting of pics here is no different from most fora.

The idea is, we post pictures in different categories so that our fellow members can view them and pass advice if required or just comment.

This is perfectly normal in photograph forums

I'm sure people have tried to assist you in this

The layout of the forum, is really the same as any other photography, or for that matter forum, that I have used,it's not a gallery site, but a forum.

If you want to display your images in a forum, you have little choice except to copy and paste an image, it's not very hard, it took me a couple of seconds to post that picture, and the only reason you were unsuccessful was because you hadn't copied the whole image link, only part of it.

Anyway, forums aren't for everyone, each to their own
