That gives out a nice, soft diffused light Ken

As lighting can have such a marked influence on the end result of a picture, I keep thinking of ways that I can light things differently.

I think it probably draws about ~30-40 watts, I'm also hoping to power by 12 volts for portable use.

It is incredibly well diffused, I'm very keen to see what it look like for a portrait light source. It should be like window light on a bright but cloudy day I think.

Re: Light Painting

Have you any idea about light output Ken?

Would you need a few ganged panels for a decent portrait exposure?

Re: Light Painting

cheers Ken
Ive not had time to play with my screen yet ,I wanted it more for shining light through things i.e. Ive seen slices of oranges bananas lime etc sliced thinly and placed on to the light box
one of the ideas is here.......
http://www.diyphotography.net/the-di...eekend-project

so when I got hold of a broken screen tv I went for it

the old lcd screen can be seen to the right of the first picture
I took the second and third ones in my darkened workshop with no enchancing etc
the pink tv (in for repair) is the right colour as is the carpet covering my workbench
and the red and black on my meter leads seem good so we will see when I get time to play hahahahahaha
