Spiders!
Oh dear, I've not been on for so long I've forgotten what and how to do anything 
but still, I think Ive got it know 
These were taken with my new camera
it's Nikon D5000 and came with a Tamron 70-300mm lens that has a macro setting, but I've never taken macro shots from such a distance before, almost as far away from the subject as for normal 
but hey-ho it's better than nothing
Please bear in mind these were taken with my right arm in plaster (do they make left handed cameras) so that's my excuse for them being not as good as they should be 
(I'd like you to meet Brunhilda, but Hildy to her friends
)
In macro on the lens and camera setting.
Macro setting on the lens, but in Silhouette mode on the camera. (it didn't look so out of focus on my pc)
Same settings as above, but different Spidey and different position. (this is Gerty)

I think the first shot is the best, but I really love the lighting in the third shot, it's lovely.
Glad you have a new camera, just watch out for high speed dogs in future x
