Inspired by 'Pathway to Heaven'

Went to an old cemetery on a photo shoot with my camera club. It's a non-conformist graveyard and therefore has a variety of memorials and headstones. I took the opportunity to have a go at HDR but moving BG foliage on a windy day is not really conducive to sharpness.

The memorial to John Barker was very interesting. Described as a Steam Circus Proprietor accidentally killed on Norwich cattlemarket. A Steam Circus was what we would know as a steam powered carousel. Apparantly he was crushed between two trucks while setting up his Steam Circus. Norwich cattlemarket was at that time in the centre of the city right outside the castle. It's a shopping mall now. He must have been a popular guy as his epitaph reads:-

Had he asked us this we know
We would have cried spare this blow
Yes with streaming tears should say
Lord we love him let him stay.
