Re: First Photos

Thanks.

Photo 1 has been blurred in photoshop, as is the edges of 4. Photo 4 suffers a lot because i'm not used to doing without a flash, and i don't have a flash gun, just the cameras own flash which made the stone look evil. I need to play with the ISO a bit but it's a confidence issue.

Re: First Photos

May I ask whether your camera has a RAW mode? The reason I ask that is because you'd be able to have greater control of lost detail in the shadow areas of your photos. The final shot would be super if you brought out just a bit more detail in those shadows. I would also try a sepia tone to the whole image as if to age it.

Re: First Photos

Angela - nice subjects for 'first' attempts. Having an eye for a picure is half the battle; imaging the finish picture is another part of the skill - you seem to have both. Technically, there are waeknesses but stick around and ask for help/comments/observations and you WILL improve.

I like your last (B&W) pic. The others appear over-exposed, blurred and the levels need some attention. Keep posting.
