Re: Trying something different - Rocky

Of the set I prefer the second, the first contains too much tongue and not much else except some nice sharp short hair. Number 3 I don't like it is too wide to be of just the eye and not wide enough to be a head shot, leaves the viewer asking what they are supposed to be looking at. And 4 is an angle that only an owner would like.

Think with shots of animals there has to be some degree of beauty or interest for anyone,, except those who own the dog, to feel involved in the image, bits are ok but they have to be an entity in themselves like an eye or a paw but bits of head do nothing for me I afraid, sorry.

Re: Trying something different - Rocky

One and two - I love them both - but two especially, I appreciate what the others have said, but I have always liked close crops on tiny bits of things - maybe this is where I get my love of macro!
