Re: Pine Cones

Interesting set Azz. Makes me think of wooden, petrified roses. I like #3 the best for the use of the sun as backlighting. Brilliant!

Re: Pine Cones

Not sure about these sorry! They don't really work for me, but I do think number 3 is quite nice, and love Bob's edit of it! Petrified roses... very good!

Re: Pine Cones

Yay another pine cone piccy taker I am not alone

I love number three, the composition is really nice and the positioning for the sun to frame the top cone and gently back-light the lower one looks great

Re: Pine Cones

I love pine cones but not too happy with these for different reasons. It could be you have taken exactly what you were aiming to take but I find the first two too soft and the last does not work for me, not sure why but I think it is too small in the area of the image and think I would crop long and narrow to get the most from this and got rid of the fringe of hedge behind. Not sure the cone is of an interesting enough shape to be used in silhouette and perhaps needs a little lighting on the cones to bring the shot to life.
