all depends what you are after Saz, do want to capture action or generally slow moving or stationary subjects?

If you are after the latter a f/5.6 lens would be fine and a very good choice in good light. Anything faster moving and in less than perfect light you wanna be looking at f/4 or better. These are gonna cost you more, but depends on what you wanna shoot to justify the cost.

Sigma do very good quality lenses and can be a good compromise for faster glass at a lower price than the camera manufacturer lenses sometimes half the price of the manufacturer made lenses.
