Whats the lens hood for?
Just wondered what its for, the manual tells you how to put it on and it came with the camera. Something about strong light :-?

A lens hood can increase the contrast of a lens by stopping stray light from outside of the frame entering the lens at an obliques angle and literally bouncing around inside the lens elements.
