Old school photo duplicate

My step-dad has been on the phone to ask.....

His friend has an old school photo, the kind from the late 40's/50's. The long ones where they got the whole school in it (300 plus people).
Is there anywhere that still does this sort of thing, or how would he go about getting a copy made?

Thanks for the help.

Re: Old school photo duplicate

Go to a good developer, as you need a high end scanner to get good results. They will scan it and then print it.
Hope that helps.

Absolutely!

I used to work in a reference Library ( yes really!) and we kept local papers from way, way back..eventually these were transfered to microfiche and so on. Contact the local paper direct and if you get nowhere with them, the library should be able to help.

Re: Old school photo duplicate

Not sure but google picture developers in your area and see if one has a scanner. The better the scanner the better the results when transferred to photoshop and then print.
