Teleconverter lens for Panasonic Lumix FZ45

I have been looking at two lenses:-

2.2x Raynox DCR-2025PRO Super Telephoto Conversion Lens

OR

Panasonic DMW-LT55 55mm 1.7x Telephoto Conversion Lens

Does anyone have any experience/advice.

Thanks

Richard.

Re: Teleconverter lens for Panasonic Lumix FZ45

Hi Richard, I have no direct experience of either converter but I would say that you will probably get better quality from a x1.7 than a x2.2, also you will have less light drop of with the x1.7.

PS I use Canon x1.4, x2 converters and only use the x2 when I really have to, for the above reasons.

I have taken the plunge and gone for the

Panasonic DMW-LT55 55mm 1.7x Telephoto Conversion Lens.

I look forward to having a play when it arrives.

Re: Teleconverter lens for Panasonic Lumix FZ45

Read plenty of very positive reviews and hardly any negative ones, 1 of those was of a faulty lens which was replaced with no problems.
Thanks for the idea Cakey, even if it is a bit late!
