Insuring your kit.
Just wondered what sort of Insurance you have on your camera/s and lenses etc.

House insurance covers mine although (without checking) I think it's limited to £1K per item.
In that respect I'm not sure where I would stand if things needed replacing.
Replacing the 40D 'new for old' would mean claiming for a 60D which would fall within the £1000 limit but the 1D mark2 (which isn't worth that much more than the 40D) would 'new for old' mean a 1D mark 4 which is £3500 and that's about to be replaced by the 1DX which is about £5500.
