A Golden Oldie
This is a scan of a print which is over fifty years old. Scarborough harbour in the days when fishing was a thriving industry. I think these boats are Scottish herring drifters. They visited Scarborough every year . Shot with a Nikon F1, 50mm, f1.8 and developed with home brew chemicals (Johnsons) more than likeley this was Willie Beutlers's formula.

Gosh, the depth of tone is fantastic! 
The image itself is a little busy perhaps for my personal tastes - but what an interesting photograph! Thanks for sharing!

What a wonderfully busy image; truly depicting what a thriving fishing industry we had and the significance to those small villages and towns around our coastlines.
Anything less and one would be able to see the flashing lights of bingo halls, and amusement arcades which seem to have replaced and proliferated once busy harbours.
Fascinating to think how long, and the skill required to dodge and burn that image in the darkroom.
