Lucien - Alaskan Malamute

Taken on the 400D using just my 430EX flash... he was sitting there quite nicely for a change so didn't have chance to set up the lights before grabbing this shot.

Editted out the background (white sheet but looked grey with no lighting), and played in Photoshop for the look i wanted.

Re: Lucien - Alaskan Malamute

I *love* it - it's absolutely gorgeous - my only little niggle is that his fur blends in a little with the choice of blanket - but it's no biggie, and I think perhaps a slightly darker blanket may have helped? But then, maybe not too!

Brilliant stuff - and Lucien is just to die for <3

Re: Lucien - Alaskan Malamute

Hi Sam.

Nice, quick image of the Mally, although I'm really not too keen on the background.
I understand why you felt the need to change it, but you have to be really careful when erasing and cropping around an object, especially a dog. It's hair is a nightmare to get around as you probably know, and you nearly always end up with a strange glow around your subject, like you have in this picture.

Some people like this style....I'm not so keen I'm afraid.

Sorry Sam.
