I have this one in my collection and I like most this one rather then others . It snapped at evening time in garden from my Nikon camera .

Sorry MS but I don't like seeing flowers against a black background I prefer to see them as nature intended.

Oooh thats lovely Moonie. I think the black really brings out the colours.

Nice shot too Veronica. It might be worth experimenting with diffusing the sunlight so that you get an even, soft light and avoid bright spots and harsh shadows.

Nice one Moonie.

In terms of a 'natural' feel - I can kind of see whaere Bazza is coming from regarding the black background however this style makes for a lovely strong almost 'graphic' image.

Cheers, as for the background, had no choice really, had to shoot them as they were, and wasn't allowed to move them, shot a lot of orchids that day, this and the other one were two of my personal faves
