I did not say it was, something strange going on as I did not specify a type nor enter any tags as I could not remember what I took the original with

Re: The Hunt - for an apple

Aw that is a really good edit Snaps x I think it works really well because your dogs have strong features and distinct colouring, so they stand out.

I saw some pics of Elkhounds going up tree trunks on the net yesterday, is that normal Elkhound behaviour?

I've seen my idiot dog do it after a squirrel , but like I said he is not normalhe sort of launching himself then shimmies up till gravity takes over.

Tree climbing is normal providing they consider it worth the trouble, but with an Elkhound that goes for everything they never do anything without purpose, even if I am hard put to understand what that may be.

No, not tried it in colour, suppose because the dogs are black and white they lend themselves to the B & W treatment. TBH I can't remember what I did now, it was not just a single filter remember fiddling for ages but like when I cook I can never remember what it was I did. So no good asking me for a receipt, I never know.

After our chat the other day, I did some reading up about them, quite a fascinating breed aren't they xxx

Re: The Hunt - for an apple

Not sure about fascinating, frustrating but think most spitz breeds are a law unto themselves. There is at least one in the UK that picks up at shoots but will not touch feather, see what I mean determined and independent, knows exactly what is required but will still do it her way.

Re: The Hunt - for an apple

LOL sounds a bit like Mack you have to convince him. that what you want him to do , is what he wants to do I think Elkhounds sound fun! I like dogs that think for themselves.
