Thank you all for your comments, posting your first efforts on a forum such as this can be a bit daunting.
While I am very happy with these images as posted, especially as the first one is completely as shot, the second has been slightly tweaked in DPP, I am also pleased to receive comments such as Jacks and I do like the edit.
I also appreciate how lucky I am living in a spot with a view like this as it was shot from the bottom of my drive.
