Re: Tamron/sigma lens - what are they like?

Sigma are generally very good and often favoured price wise against the "own" brands. Tamron, perhaps not quite as good, but very capable and hve recently won top lens awards.

Re: Tamron/sigma lens - what are they like?

They are both respected brands Jols - some people like Sigma over Tamron, some, Tamron over Sigma

I would suggest going with the most respected lens in their range, rather than going for a brand and getting whichever lens you want.

EG, the Tamrom 90mm Macro is highly regarded, the Sigma 500mm is too, etc
