Cleaning lcd screen

What do you guys use to clean the lcd screen and the viewfinder eyepiece?

I was told glasses wipes are ok, but the wipes I have are moist. Would they be ok or a big no no?

Re: Cleaning lcd screen

Interesting one Dave.

I bought a stack of moist 'specs wipes' yesterday because the pack also specified they could be used for camera's so I shoved them in with my kit.

I also have a 'cleaning kit' and just refererred to it and the wet cleaning solution involved there says Do NOT use on LCD screen or memory slot...but later says you can use it on LCD screen if you use it to moisten a microfibre cloth or cotton bud.

So far I have only used a lint free cloth I got with a Photography mag but mine could do with a bit of a proper clean up now ( make-up's a terrible thing!)

I am going to use a moist wipe later....so if you want I will 'take one for the team' and report back if my camera melts.

Re: Cleaning lcd screen

DO NOT USE WIPE AND SHINE SPECTACLE WIPES BY CARR & DAY & MARTIN

Just left my screen smear city. It says on the packet clean in seconds without smearing. Lies I tells ya.
Lucky my wifes ipad cleaning cloth was on stand-by. Now it's like new without my make-up stains... I mean with-out my nose smudge

Re: Cleaning lcd screen

Blimey!!!!

Do you need a wee lie down in a darkened room now?

The wipes I used were WD from Lidl and I did finish off with a dry polish so in effect I did the same procedure as you.
