Nikon D40 review

I purchased this camera in 2007 and have been very pleased with it. I love the jpg mode which adds a bit of Nikon magic to the colours - and the auto mode is fantastic for anyone who wants better quality than a P&S but none of the hassle of using a DSLR.

Of course it has now been replaced by newer models (with newer features - such as better ISO) but if you're looking for a second hand entry level DSLR you won't go far wrong with the D40

Here's a few of my photos taken with it and the 18-55 lens that came with it (which is fantastic too!)

Re: Nikon D40 review

Certainly a good choice if you're after a used entry level DSLR.

For what it's worth I had a D50 - also worth considering but with auto-focus motor built into the camera body.
