Photographing guitars
Any tips on how to photograph guitars ?
I've had two or three goes now without much success.
I guess you could include them along with photographing any shiny / polished subjects.

Not sure Phil... I'll have a go this morning when i get chance as we have a black shiny electric one here, had a few ideas but never got round to trying them out lol

Wear something black - reduces the chance of reflection
When lightinging your object try to diffuse the light as much as possible - wax paper over the light source works well
Soft large broad light works best - try to void flash...
A Polarising Filter will help reduce any reflections

Here's a few i did this morning... Will do some more later when i have some spare time...
No adjustments done, as they are out of the camera, except just a render put on the landscape one.

its the Gibson Les Paul Gothic and very nice it is will try and take a full picture of it later Its quite hard to photograph as its all black and quite shiny so very hard to pick out any details.
