Re: Sony a77

Looks like a nice camera - I'd check the photos on pbase.com to get a general idea of what its photos might be like

Also, if you don't have many Sony lenses, it might be worth looking at the Nikon and Canon equivalents too? Such as the Nikon D300s.

Re: Sony a77

I have a couple of lenses and since I first got a DSLR I have had Sonys - I do love them and understand them (although this looks more confusing!)

I have never got on with canons or nikons.

I have a Sony a700 at the moment, but recently got some money I was not expecting so thought I might treat myself...

Re: Sony a77

One of the major benefits of Canon and Nikon imo, is resale value - they seem to hold it quite a bit more than the other brands. When I sold my D300 I lost very little, in some cases (like the D700) they have gone up in price so would be sold at a profit

I'm not sure what the Sony's are like on resale value - maybe some else has an idea

Either way you can't go wrong - Sony make smashing cameras

Re: Sony a77

I say if you're happy with Sony, then stick to it - what are the chances that you'd want to sell it anyway?
