Acacia (Western Lowland Gorilla)

I'm a huge Gorilla fan I sponsor a Mountain Gorilla through the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, and would really love to go and see them in the wild.

This lovely lady is Acacia, recently moved to the zoo,she is 15, and just amazing. Anyway, I was fiddling around with some shots, I took of her recently ....

Thanks for looking xx

Re: Acacia (Western Lowland Gorilla)

Very nice Moon. Lovely expression and framing plus I like what you've done with it too.

I don't think I've seen a gorilla since I was a nipper - the big Silverback at Chester Zoo with some serious BO issues.

Re: Acacia (Western Lowland Gorilla)

Thanks guys xx

Must process the others, the silverback is really HUGE, I spent a long time just watching them interact, not even taking shots. Will post some more natural shots, when I 've processed them.

The first Gorilla I ever saw was Guy the Gorilla at London Zoo, so kinda showing my age here even more weird that my Mum, saw him at London Zoo when she was young!

Shockingly.... I added noise to the processing, seems to work though. But I'm not a huge follower of the noise police anyway, I think it works on some shots(This is what happens when your first DSLR is an Oly)

Cheers for the feedback xx
