Re: Rocco & Keisha Photo Collage

I'm afraid I'm not much good at this sort of thing Mark, so can't really offer much advice.

It looks quite effective but I'm not sure about the solid black border, because in places it seems lost, maybe a white pin stripe in the black is needed, I'm not sure

Canon EF100L macro f/2.8 IS

Re: Rocco & Keisha Photo Collage

You know i thought the very same thing regarding the black border, i tried white but that did not look right so maybe next time i will try a mixed color frame, there only seems to be a couple of B&W frames in PS E6 and neither of them seem to work for this layout.....Always a matter of trying different things until i can get it right

Re: Rocco & Keisha Photo Collage

Thanks Laura
Looking at the image in the light of day i think the framing in the middle of the image looks a little wide compared to the outer edges.......

Re: Rocco & Keisha Photo Collage

Subject matter is great, ive no experience of doing a collage myself and i agree with the frames looking different does seem odd to my eyes.

regards brian.

Re: Rocco & Keisha Photo Collage

Thanks Brian........
All the frames are the same width, think the images in the frames are slightly too big and the outer edges are chopped off making the frame look thinner than it should be, whereas the inner edges of the frames, with them being in black have merged together making them look a lot thicker than they actually are......I will get it right with a bit of practice

Re: Rocco & Keisha Photo Collage

Okay, had another play around with some images, adding background and using a smaller frame for each photo, a very thin white frame, not that you can see any frame at all. 2 images below the same except that one has a B&W background which i prefer

Kit 1
Canon 5D MkIII
Canon 100mm-400mm USM IS L Lens
Canon EF 75mm-300mm Lens
Sigma 70mm 300mm APO DG Macro Lens
Canon F1.8 50mm Prime lens
Kit 2
Modified Canon 500D
Canon EFS 18mm 55mm 1:3.5 - 5.6
